Reply:I know there are specialist catalogues, I used to work at an engineering firm %26amp; had to order the supplies but for the life of me I can%26#039;t think of the name of the company!

Try google-ing it %26amp; see what happens, maybe?
Reply:Try redwing shoes www.redwingshoes.com
Reply:You may and probably will, have to order them from a speciality catalog. Google on line for information.

I plan to attend the motorcycle safety class l8er this month.?

I know ur spose to bring helmet ,gloves, pants, long sleeve shirts and eye protection and boots But what type of each like for boots timberlands? pants blue jeans? please be specific for each one please. Thanks again

I plan to attend the motorcycle safety class l8er this month.?
Anyboot that%26#039;s over the ankle. Timberlines are perfect.

Any long pants, could be bluejeans, running pants, dress for the weather.

Gloves are anything full fingured, use motorcycle gloves, gardening gloves, baseball gloves, any.

Eye protecting is anything too. you%26#039;ll most likely want sunglasses but regualar glasses are ok too.

helmet is anything that is DOT approved, which is basically anything these days.

Long sleaves is anything too. i%26#039;d suggest an opened up button shirt if it%26#039;s hot, of a hood or jacket or anything else is fine as well.

Have fun and learn all that you can!
Reply:Ask the instructor. Sometimes they provide everythig you need, and other times you must provide it. Different instructors like to see different things. I know one guy who strongly suggests you ride in a full racing suit and that any less protection is not going to help at all, and another who says a lid and leather jacket is more than enough.
Reply:Boots have to be go over the ankle. Blue jeans are fine. Helmet has to be DOT approved. Eye protection should be shatter resistant lenses, not just regular sun glasses - if your helmet has a face shield, that%26#039;s double protection. Gloves should be full finger and long sleeve shirts are kind of obvious. I would wear a denim shirt or a light jacket.

I am getting ready to take the course soon myself.

Good luck. I hear most females don%26#039;t pass, but I am going to prove them all wrong!!!!
Reply:Any blue jeans would be fine, any over the ankle shoes/boots are fine.

My computer boots and runs slow. I scanned with hijack. can you check if it has a virus.?
Why is my computer slow? I bet you have asked yourself that very question time and time again. And for the most part, you probably just can not figure it out. Ask the guy next to you, and they probably don’t have the foggiest idea either. I mean, you may get the “spyware, virus” answer, but this most likely is not the case.

The first place I check when my computer starts to run slower is the registry. Yes, the registry. Most people don’t even know what, or where the registry is, and especially don’t understand how this can slow a computer down. Let me explain.

Basically, the registry files contain information and settings for all of the software, hardware, operating system software, and anything else running on your computer. Mess any of these files up, and the computer does not know how to function. The computer goes to start up the software, looks for the registry files, and either can not find it or finds something that does not look like it is suppose to look like. It then just sits there: it does not know what to do next. This is where the “hanging” or “locking up” of your computer comes from. These files will need to be fixed.

To fix the registry files, find a good quality registry repair software called registry cleaner and run it on your computer.Top 5 registry cleaners can be found in here:

http://www.make-pc-fast.com .It will tell you how many files are corrupted and need to be fixed. Just tell the software to fix it and it restores all of the registry files to their correct configuration. It is really that simple. It may take only about 5 minutes to perform this check. And then as a maintenance item for your computer, I would recommend performing this registry fix at least once a week. This will always ensure your registry files are good, and keep your computer running with no slow, freezing and errors. So if you find yourself asking why is my computer slow, I would check the registry files first.

Now you can check out

http://www.make-pc-fast.com/ ,there are reviews of top rated registry cleaners and a clear guide to tell you how to speed up your computer. And from there you also can get a free scan to fix any problems such as computers slow, computer freezing, computer errors and getting the blue death screen.

Hope that can help you.

With pc optimizer pro you can safely clean, repair and optimize your computer.

It will help improve your system performance without expensive hardware upgrades.

Good luck!
Reply:first go get CCleaner , run it ,then a reg cleaner if you got one, then run an anti spy check, then defrag it
Reply:These are some things that may help:

1) Try a better anti-virus like Kapersky

2) Increase your RAM

3) try PC bug doctor it fix all errors

4) End some processes in the task manager

5) Format your computer

the reason you are running slow is most likely lack of ram, i mean holy crap thats alot of processes to run.
Reply:Maybe you need to clean it up.

Run malware scans.Keep your startup list as trim as possible and also have only stuff that you need. See if your drive is running out of free space and whether its fragmented. High levels of fragmentation are like a disease which affects the performance of the drive, leading to slow loading times, file access etc. Finally you should add more RAM if needed.
Reply:whatever, we charge for this service...
Reply:First Scan your computer with AVG or Mcafee or norton. Then scan it with Hitman Pro. Once that is done defrag it.

Good luck!
Reply:try scanning for spy ware-there are some free programs out there that work well. Erase Internet history, erase cookies.Set defaults to 1 day to remember web sites visited. You probably have a bunch of extraneous programs trying to run when you open. Also try reducing the number of icons on your opening page.

Shipping safety?

My mare is absolutely TERRIFIED of trailers. She%26#039;s had some bad experiences (my fault, I%26#039;ll admit.) I%26#039;m trying to think of ways that I can make riding in the trailer less stressful for her. I%26#039;ve got a two horse and I usually leave her loose on one side, with the barricade up. Obviously that doesn%26#039;t give her much room to move around, but she%26#039;s fallen when I%26#039;ve not had the barrier.

I%26#039;m planning on buying her a head bumper and shipping boots and covers for the butt bars.

I%26#039;m also thinking of covering the front of the trailer/ edge of the hay area but I%26#039;m not sure with what. Any ideas?

Also any other ideas of things I can do to help prevent trailering from being stressful?

Shipping safety?
You definitely need to work with her in the trailer. When you have time on some days after riding, load her into the trailer (it doesn%26#039;t need to be hitched) and feed her meals in there. She can%26#039;t be afraid of what she is used to, so just get her familiar with pleasant trailer experiences.
Reply:you should practice loading her, having her stand and getting off. do this a few times until she doesn%26#039;t seem as nervous. let her sniff around and have a little hay.

perhaps try doing short trailer rides, just to have her relax, and she gets used to them?
Reply:To get my horse used to the trailer, I fed him his meals in it for about 2 weeks. Then he learned to associate a good thing with the trailer and now he loads like a dream.
Reply:Ah. I%26#039;ve had trailer problems similar to this as well. The safty boots and head bumpers are a good idea, just be sure that she%26#039;s gotten used to them before you try and put her on the trailer. I also suggest that you try feeding her on the trailer. I actually had to do this with my horse for about a month to get him to go on the trailer at all. After that, try to load her with a bucket of grain so that you can reward her everytime she gets on the trailer. You should also keep the divider bar closed, because she can seriously hurt herself if she falls down, or i%26#039;ve even herd of horses flipping over too.
Reply:load with a bucket of grain, feed her in the trailer and try just loading and unloading the shorter time in the trailer and the grain should get her used to the %26quot;good thing%26quot; in the trailer...

What should I do about the big Black Sabbath?

concert I am going to tonight at Wollongong? I am taking some earplugs and my steel cap site safety boots. Should I be taking any other precautions?

What should I do about the big Black Sabbath?
Wear a helmet. You wouldn%26#039;t want to get hit in the head with one of their walkers or canes.
Reply:Do not forget to bring some Tool(s).
Reply:Don%26#039;t let Dio star at you too long. He might put your under a black magic spell.
Reply:have fun
Reply:Bring waterproof clothing - Ozzy likes to pour buckets of water on those in the first few rows.

Of course, if you%26#039;re in a heat wave area, maybe you want to get drenched.....
Reply:You should be taking ME with you, but alas.... ;)
Reply:Don%26#039;t throw bats onstage - real, rubber, candy coated or otherwise. Ozzie takes a dim view after accidentally swallowing one some years back.
Reply:Dont forget enough money for booz.
Reply:Some herbal sustenance is a must when I go to a concert.

What would you have done?

I was called in for a job today by a job agency. They said I can trun up in the afternoon today and work all Tuesday and Wednesday. The job sounded rubbish but a job is a job. I went there after a 40 minute drive and they said I couldn%26#039;t work as I had no safety boots on. They said to come back tomorrow with them. The agency never told me to bring them so I was very annoyed as it wasted the middle part of my day and petrol too. I was so annoyed that I told the agency that I didn%26#039;t want to work on Tuesday or Wednesday either as I was very unhappy about the situation. I%26#039;m a student on my summer break so a job is not a must but it would be useful. i have just been messed around by agencies so many times I that it has got me to an annoyed stage. Would you have still worked the other two days? Or would you have done the same as me?

What would you have done?
join another agency.

they should have told you of any special equipment you needed, and a good pair of boots could be sixty quid plus, so not many people buy them on the off chance.

i wouldn%26#039;t go back after that first experience.

join another agency.
Reply:If you keep getting messed around by agencies then why don%26#039;t you just get a job yourself instead?
Reply:You deserve to stand by your convictions.

Their loss.
Reply:It depends on whether or not I had other job prospects lined up. It also depends on badly I felt I needed or wanted a job.

If I had no other prospects in mind and felt I very much wanted or needed the job, I would not have told them I wouldn%26#039;t work the other two days. I personally would have said, %26quot;OK, I will be back with the boots tomorrow then. Thanks%26quot; and been on my way.

Good luck
Reply:If the job was in construction or similar heavy industry it is expected that people going to work there wear PPE. You should have asked the company before going there if you needed your own PPE or if they provided it. However, the company should have made this clear to the agency who informed you.

Would I have done the same as you? It would depend on whether or not I wanted experience of this particular type of work and how good the money was. No matter how you view it however, it looks bad that you gave up so easily and let this annoy you. I probably wouldnt be too impressed with your behaviour if I was your agent or an employer. Put it down to a lesson.
Reply:if you turned up for the job you should be paid for three hours time...(i think this is the law)..you should have been told by the agency what you would need in order to be able to work. cut your loses and move on...

find another job.
Reply:If this was a one-time deal, or if I knew this was the situation with this agency that they never gave you the full story but you were accepting it, then no I would have worked the other two days. It%26#039;s a problem with the agency that you%26#039;re either going to accept or not, and it seems like you aren%26#039;t. So find another agency. The other thing to do is if you are being given a job, ask up front %26quot;is there anything I need for this job that they mentioned. Are you sure there is not more information you have to give me?%26quot; Ask if you can call the manager of the job ahead of time with a phone number to check on some things. If you know the devils you are working with, then deal with it that way. Otherwise, stop working for job agencies and get something more reliable.
Reply:I would have worked if I needed the money. I went to an agency job once and was told to go home because the agency sent me there on the wrong day. I never went back to that agency again.

I worked for another agency who sent me to a former employer to do a job that the boss wouldn%26#039;t let me do because he didn%26#039;t think I was qualified enough to do when I worked there. I ended up earning $3 an hour more working for the agency than I would have for them, and they probably paid a good $75 an hour to have me there. That was a nice %26quot;I told you so%26quot; moment for me. I worked there for 2 weeks then moved on to better things.
Reply:My answer would likely be dependant upon my needs.

However, you did say %26gt;The job sounded rubbish %26#039;%26#039;__but a job is a job__%26#039;%26#039; %26lt;

So, how well do you think stood the test?

Sash.
Reply:i would have worked the other days for the money

no use shooting yourself in the foot (which is what you did, i hopr you were wearing the safety boots- haha!)

seriously though, i would have told them to go screw
Reply:It is the agency fault and not the place ur working for those next 2days, i would go back and do the other 2days, u are student and u be wishin u done the work and saved some money come xmas time with expence of books, bag and matrial stuff...

if u want better job, do part time work instead of an agency....
Reply:Depends on how much they were paying! Also depends on how friendly the people were at the job location when I came on the Monday afternoon, for example, if they were really apologetic about the safety boot problem and were appreciative, warm hearted, chatted amicably to me about the place with a few bits of friendly humour thrown in then I’d probably have gone back. Otherwise I would have done just what you did.

It could be the agency’s fault for not telling you about the boots, or it could be the company’s who didn’t tell the agency that boots were needed.
Reply:Well I work for a nursing agency, and I love it...however it seems like that nature of the beast....they are not always the most considerate of the employees situations...I have gone through several before I got to the one that I am working for now...they treat me well at this one. I think if they didnt tell you that you needed boots, you would or should get paid for 2 hours.....and I would have went back....but then I have 3 kids and always neeeeeed the money.
Reply:Everyone is different however I probably would have felt the same way.
Reply:I wouldn%26#039;t have worked the other two days either. And, I%26#039;d also find another employment agency. Clearly, this one is lacking in communication skills.
